We are searching for a talented Control Desk Coordinator
Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day shift; 6:30am - 3:00pm or 7:00am - 3:30pm to be discussed during interview
Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Requirements
Under general supervision of the Manager, OR Control Desk or Designee, perform a variety of duties within and in support of the Perioperative Services Department including but not limited to: accurately schedule a variety of related procedures for the Perioperative Services according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining all communication to and from the OR Control Desk, PreOp, Holding, PACU, Anesthesiologist in Charge, and other hospital departments.Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Completion and passing of the Medical Terminology course is required.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, i.e. Word, Excel, database, order entry, etc. is required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a hospital setting is required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
