We are searching for a talented Laboratory Asst-Microbiology
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; Must work 4 shifts per 6-week schedule; Must work 4 weekends or 8 individual weekend days per year; Must work one holiday per year
Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Requirements
Under the direction of the department Team Leader and in coordination with Medical and Administrative Director and Laboratory Managers, perform basic technical and clerical duties in the lab section including but not limited to: specimen receipt, specimen acceptability and specimen processing.Qualifications
- Successful completion of High School or equivalency required; certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred; combination of education and experience as a microbiology specimen processor/lab assistant equivalent for at least 6 months accepted. Up to and including one year experience.
- Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
